I had a great experience at Lay Retreat recently. I was dealing with a shoulder ache and decided to try their The Top massage. The treatment was excellent and significantly relieved my pain.
However, since I went for their seated massage, I expected the massage to be done on a proper massage chair. Instead, it was done on a regular spa bed, which made my lower back a bit uncomfortable as I kept sliding down. I’ve experienced seated massages elsewhere with proper chairs that allow you to lean forward with support, which I personally found more comfortable.
Aside from that, everything else was superb - loved the ambiance, the warm welcome, the refreshing finishing drinks, and the professional service throughout.

Massage by Mala was phenomenal!
It was my first time here and upon looking at the reviews, I immediately booked for Mala. It was the best decision ever.
She is very passionate about massage and her skill is top-notch. She assessed my body and knew where to concentrate more. She definitely delivered beyond my expectations.
Came in with stiff neck and pain in the shoulder blade. Got to know I have other stiff places, which she fixed them and went home pain free. Had the deepest sleep on that night.
Love the massage oil selection as they are very subtle yet strong. And it is heated oil too, which I really love. The drinks served upon arrival and after massage were the best. Refreshing!
Front desk can be improved. I saw a lot of reviews mentioning about no one at the reception area / slight unwelcoming. This place can be seen from the outside and when no one is there at the counter, it feels a bit off. Maybe can have a dedicated chair for the receptionist to sit comfortably even without any customer just to have the vibe that they are always welcoming.

Last time i had unexpectedly amazing massage from therapist Nurael. She tried her best to heal my body pain and even asked another therapist to solve my issue too. I really appreciate her enthusiasm towards her job.
This time i came again, hopefully to have similar experience, unfortunately Nurael not there anymore so different therapist name Zulaikha attended me.
It was a very minimum standard massage, like just following the SOP, with no human connection. i really wasted 90minutes of my time today, for the amount i paid - i would get better quality of massage at other massage place around.
The place is incredibly nice and beautiful. Feel so relaxed in that ambience, unfortunately it didnt feel the same in the massage room.

I stumbled upon this place on ClassPass and decided to give it a try, as monthly massages are part of my routine. I give this place a solid 10/10!
First, it’s within walking distance from the MRT Mutiara Damansara, which is super convenient. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with a drink, which was a lovely touch. My masseur, Ika, was amazing—she’s skilled, polite, and attentive. She asked if I needed more pressure and whether there were any areas I wanted her to focus on, constantly ensuring I was comfortable throughout the session.
I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance—it was just perfect. Not too cold, unlike some places I’ve been to, and not too warm either. They also have showers equipped with hairdryers and basic amenities, which is a big plus.
The herbal tea served post-massage is one of the best I’ve had, adding to the overall relaxing experience. I’m definitely coming back to try their pedicure and manicure services. Highly recommended!

What a lovely relaxing place! We went for Couple Massage (The Earth). We were warmly welcomed by the reception with a delish lemon grass, ginger honey drink and a towel (soak the towel in the mini white cup of water, it’s not for drinking . My masseur is Mala and she is very strong and good. The entire treatment started with a foot wash, a shoulder back massage, followed by a foot massage. It is different from the traditional foot reflex. Mala knows where are my pains and aches after the first few minutes of examine my body. She applied a unique technique and pressure to release my tense muscles. He head massage was very good. Over all I love this place. It ends with a delish pot of tea and asum candy. Place is very clean and beautiful interior. They carry their own brands of products too. Highly recommended.

I visited this place twice in the span of two weeks — once for a massage (The Squeeze 90) and another time for a mani-pedi (The Signature Mani-Pedi Combo), and I honestly really enjoyed both sessions.
As someone who loves deep tissue massages but also appreciates the occasional relaxing spa experience, The Squeeze felt like the perfect mix of both. Ika was super gentle but still had that firm pressure that made the whole session so soothing. I walked out feeling so much better.
The Signature Mani-Pedi Combo with Moon was also amazing. I just went for a buff and shine, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen my nails look that clean and glossy. Moon really did such a fantastic job — she was careful, friendly, and clearly took pride in her work.
That said, I do think there’s room to improve in the pre- and post-treatment experience, especially for ClassPass customers. The treatments were lovely, but the overall service felt a little... flat. For instance, after both my visits, there weren’t any smiles or warmth — just a quick “thank you” with straight faces. After my first session, I was even a bit confused about whether I needed to check out or sign anything because no one explained what to do next.
I’m only pointing this out because I really love the services here and I genuinely want to keep coming back. It’s just that those little moments — a smile, a quick explanation — can make such a big difference in the overall experience. I hope it’s something that can be improved, because the treatments themselves are truly wonderful.

My family and I recently visited Lay Retreat at The Curve and had an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff. I had a 60-minute massage with Syamil as my therapist, and it was fantastic. He really helped alleviate the knots in my back, leaving me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. After the full body massage, we continued with manicures, which turned out to be one of the best manicure experiences ever! The entire staff at the spa was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our visit. We definitely plan on returning again soon. Every moment at Lay Retreat Spa was truly enjoyable. Highly recommend!
